To Mormons: Should the "Pearl of Great Price" be renamed the "Pearl of Great Cost" ?

I know many people who have resigned their memberships in your church (especially my future son-in-law) because of all of the silly interpretations of the "Book of Abraham" and "Book of Moses" .
