How can you tell the difference from all the golf clubs?

i never played golf before and yesterday i got a set of used golf clubs from my Dr's, in the set are 11 golf clubs. and i don't know witch clubs are witch. i got the putter and know the different types of golf clubs but i can't tell the difference between a wedge and a iron. witch one are the hybrids and woods? ect.
